This class represents the PCX as a traditional bitmap - an array of colors.

Bitmap

public Bitmap(int xsize,
              int ysize,
              boolean startAtTop)

Bitmap

public Bitmap(int xsize,
              int ysize)

The constructor for the new image. Assumes that you start at the top, and that you do not start at the right. This is b/c the first images I used were BMP and MSP files, which start at the top left.

Parameters:

xsize - - The horizontal size of the image.

ysize - - The vertical size of the image.

Method Detail

add

public void add(Color color)

Adds a pixel to the image. The colors must be added left to right, and then top to bottom (or vice versa if startAtTop is false). This method will automatically handle carriage return/line feeds.

color - - The color of the new pixel to be added.

goToNextScanLine

public void goToNextScanLine()

Goes to the next line, filling any any missing places with black If we're already at the beginning of the line, ignore the request.

addRepeats

public int addRepeats(int repeats,
                      Color color)

Add one (or more) pixels of the same color to the image. The colors will be added left to right, and then top to bottom. This method will automatically handle the ends of rows.

repeats - - The number of pixels to be added.

color - - The color of those pixels.

Returns:

- How many pixels were added (should equal repeats).

Returns the PCX image as a String, with nice array formatting

getPixel

Returns the color of a requested pixel.

Returns the (integer) RGB value representing the color in the default sRGB color model for a given pixel in the PCX file. Bits 24-31 are alpha, 16-23 are red, 8-15 are green, 0-7 are blue.
