COAT ON BRIDGE CLUE TO SUICIDENote in Pocket Says Wearer Had Decided to End His Life. Two men crossing the Loeland bridge at 1:30 AM this morning in a taxi found a man's coat on the southbound roadway. They grabbed the coat and took it to the Hitter Police Station. In a pocket was a letter addressed to John Stllmokan. It began, "Dear brother." It said that because of poor health and failure In business that he had decided to commit suicide. A policeman went to the address and found a florist shop that had recently changed hands. There was nothing to indicate the present owner had any connection to the case. There is some speculation that this could be a hoax. Police have not found a body, nor the brother. If you have any information, please contact the police. |

Mr. Benjamin H. Nixon presented the song recital. Mr. Ryman has a voice of beautiful quality, and wide range, and also sings with intelligence and discriminating interpretation that made every number a pleasure. His voice has the richness and strength of a dramatic tenor, with the clear sweetness inf ts upper register more suggestive of a lyric voice. His opening number Celeste Aida, that song ever dear to tenors, was well received and displayed much of the finest qualities of his voice, and his following group of old songs was very charming. But all of his modern songs were especially beautiful, and nothing could have been lovelier than each of the three pieces in his second group. See Page 13 to continue this story. |
